Two quietrevolution qr5 vertical axis wind turbines were commissioned this week at the new Sainsburys store on the outskirts of Dartmouth.

The turbines will provide renewable energy that will be used on site so reducing both electricity bills and the carbon footprint for the leading retailer.

Wind powered checkoutsThe turbines make a striking addition to the store entrance, and shoppers are reminded at checkout that the tills are powered by wind energy.
