Jim Campion
Jim is an experienced business leader in the energy technology sector, both in high growth new ventures and large corporate organisations. He most recently led the growth of Biomass Engineering from late stage R&D into commercial growth. He has been on the board of several energy companies worldwide and has provided advisory for investment funds in clean technology. He has joined quietrevolution at CEO and his experience in early stage/high technology based businesses will be a great asset to the organisation.
Richard Cochrane
Richard is an expert Environmental and Building Services Engineer specialising in low energy and energy efficient building design. A Cambridge engineering graduate with particular experience in aeronautics, Richard leads the technical innovation behind quietrevolution and has combined a number of aeronautical insights to create the design. His role as CTO is focused on design optimisation and ongoing innovations.
Maeve Hurley, Finance Director
Maeve is CIMA qualified & holds a BSc in Management from Trinity College Dublin. With significant experience of senior financial & operational management in technology companies she most recently was CFO of Be Un Limited (an ISP which sold to O2 in 2006 for £50m), was VP Finance at ATG (NASDAQ listed e-commerce software company) for their International Operations & held various senior finance roles at Sterling Software in UK, USA & Australia. She joined quietrevolution in Dec 2007.
Iain Davidson, Chief Operating Officer
Iain is an experienced manager with a 13 year record of delivery in the telecommunications industry. With a background in UK network operations for Energis he has led multi-million pound projects for clients such as HSBC, BBC, London Grid for Learning, GCap Media and Amstrad. He joined quietrevolution in June 2007 to lead programme management, installations and operations.
Tamas Bertenyi, Research and Development Director
Tamás is an aeronautical engineer with a PhD from Cambridge and over 12 years expertise in experimental aerodynamics. His experience ranges from the commercial aircraft industry to the pedagogy of Sustainable Engineering and Energy. At first a consultant on the initial aerodynamic design of the QR5, he joined Quiet Revolution full-time in early 2006 and went on to engineer the systems design, energy conversion system, and control system of the turbine, including the patented Gust Tracking technology. As Research and Development Director, Tamás is now focused on developing innovation for the next generation QR products.
Vaughan Griffiths, Production Manager - qrm
Vaughan is a graduate of both engineering and business and for the last twenty years has been at the cutting edge of modern manufacturing within the automotive and electronics sector. He was a key individual in a number of VC and privately backed businesses and held the role of Manufacturing Director at Pellikon when it was awarded third place in the ‘Sunday Times Fast track 100 Technology companies’. His role has always been one of system and operational development utilising best practice methodology gained throughout his experience working with such companies as Toyota, Panasonic and Ericsson.
Julia Groves
Julia is an MBA with 12 years experience in a variety of businesses. She co-founded www.ba.com in 1994, and took it from concept to a fully functional global website available in 117 countries and 33 languages. She was Chief Marketing Officer at Agency.com and interim MD of the B2C portfolio at EVentures, the venture capitalist. She joined quietrevolution in May 2005 to lead the launch of the new product. She is currently on a sabbatical and will return in January 2010.
